Textbooks

Independent Study Program courses have required textbooks that provide scholarly content developed by recognized authors in the subject area. The textbooks enhance the quality and rigor of your learning experience.

The cost of textbooks is not included in tuition. Textbooks must be purchased separately. You may purchase your textbooks through the IU Bookstore at iubookstore.com or 800.622.6707 (option 2) or 812.856.0298.

Many of the textbooks are also available through independent retailers. Be advised, however, that there are often multiple editions of the same textbook on the market. You are responsible for ensuring that the texts you purchase have the same ISBN numbers as those used in your course.
